Biography:
Born in Kildare in 1943, Tim Booth now lives and works in Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry.
Tim Booth first came to critical notice as a painter in Dublin in the mid 1960s, being one of Ireland's first 'Pop' artists and showing regularly in the renowned 'Irish Exhibition of Living Art', The Brown Thomas Gallery and the annual' Independent Artists' exhibition.
He went on to become a founder member of the cult Irish band Dr. Strangely Strange, and
moved into cinema as a director and animator where he has made several award winning
animation films including "The Family Holiday', 'SW7', 'The Prisoner' and - most recently - 'Ulys'.
He has had numerous one man shows and has participated in many group shows in Ireland and abroad. Booth has represented Ireland in the
Berlin Film Festival.

I paint because I enjoy the causality of the experience, but, it's not what I see that's important - the artistic relevance lies in what I can make you see.
